Brian and I sat and watched the entirety of "History of Swear Words" on Netflix tonight, and I honestly can't recommend this series enough. Each swear word has its own 20-minute segment, and it's super interesting how the words go from their origins and how they're distorted by time and slang into what we say now. What's amazing, of course, is how a swear word can mean so many different things, but also, always the same thing. Etymology is an fascinating thing and right now I can say that I'm super bummed I didn't know that it could be a career choice when I was in school. Totes would have done that.
