These are the moments that make me so happy that I'm staying home and tend to watch television in the afternoons. I just watched Steve Martin play the banjo on Ellen. That's just fun. He's super good at it, too.Random coincidence: I just finished reading an article about Ellen hosting the Oscars, and that Bruce Vilanch, the head joke writer for the Oscars for the last 16 years, will be writing this year, too. (Talk about a script in need of fresh blood! Find someone new to write the Oscar dialog, Academy people! Please do something!) I was reminded in the piece how funny Steve Martin was when he hosted it that one year. I think he did a great job, and I wish that they would call him back for another go.
